Bless Yourself, Don’t Curse Yourself!

The Father loves His daughters.  The Father loves you.  His love for you is everlasting.  His desire has always been to draw you unto Himself with His eternal love.  He is not mad at you.  No, He is not.  And He is not holding anything against you or condemning you.  Let me prove it to you.  In John 3:17 it says, ‘God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved’. He cares passionately for all of us and desires strongly that we know who we really are in Christ, know what we can do in Christ, and know what we can have in Him!

God truly loves His daughters.  We are not an afterthought or second-class citizens.  We are the very heart of God.  We are His mirror reflection of tenderness and loving kindness. We are His Women.  His crowning jewels, and His personal Song of Praise.  Yes, we are awesome in God.  We are His sign and His wonder.  Hallelujah!

Now why don’t you personalize that for yourself?  Be bold enough to believe it.  Be brave enough to say it.  Go ahead, say: I am God’s Woman. And I am His sign and wonder.  Oh that was wonderful.  Now say that again.  I am God’s Woman, and I am His sign and wonder!  You have to say that just one more time.  I am God’s Woman, and I am His sign and wonder!  Oh, you are all that, my sister!  The glory of the Lord has risen upon you.  And it’s time to shine!

But you cannot shine until you believe once and for all that you are who God says you are, you can do what God says you can do, and you can have what God says you can have. You must know who you are and your birthrights.

. . . . stop using your own tongue against yourself.  You must bridle your tongue.  The truth of the matter is, an unbridled tongue can be your worst nightmare.  It can be an enemy that can wreak havoc in your life.  You must control your tongue!  You will never reign in the arena of life . . .  until you stop letting your tongue nullify, or negate the manifestation of the personal promises God has spoken over you.  Yes, God has spoken personal promises over you, but your tongue is against you.  Your tongue is messing you up!  Are you hearing me?  Don’t you realize that you are killing you softly with your own mouth!  Yes, you, Woman of God, you.  And it’s time to stop cursing and start saying what God is saying about you!  It’s time to start blessing yourself with the Word!

Bless yourself, don’t curse yourself!

It’s time to let the Kingdom of God reign on your lips and in your heart and your body.  It’s time, it’s time, for your “Kingdom Makeover’.

Your lipstick, lip liner and your lip gloss should not be the dominant thing seen on your lips.

You need a makeover, but it’s not French tips, voluptuous breasts, a tiny waist or stallion hips.  Woman of God, you need the Word of God shining through you because it’s blazing in you.  That’s right.  All over you and all through you, because the Word is blazing in you!

The answer is not upscale beauty salons, spa vacations and fashion extravaganzas.  It’s not personal pampering, professional coiffeurs or computerized imaging.  It’s not private masseuses, personal manicures or pedicures, waxing, hot tubs or aroma therapy.  It’s none of these things.  It’s not body sculpting, and it’s not a plastic surgeon’s bold promise to renew your youth!

The answer is not your plastic surgeon.  But the Answer is your Personal Savior! Are you hearing?  Are you really hearing?

■ Upscale beauty salons and fashion extravaganzas can’t do it.
■  Personal pampering and professional coiffeurs can’t do it.
■  Private masseuses can’t do it.
■  Manicures, pedicures and waxing can’t do it.
■  Aroma therapy and hot tubs can’t do it.
■  Body sculpting and the best plastic surgeon can’t do it.

They can only touch the surface.  Don’t get me wrong.  All of the above have their places.  There is nothing wrong with any of them, per se.  Please hear what I am saying.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with looking good, smelling good, and feeling good.  All I am saying is that these are merely surface things that cannot change the condition of your heart.  They can’t go deep into the recesses of your soul where agonizing pain reigns as king.  They can’t dethrone or even silence any of your enemies.  No, they can’t put an end to the artificial smiles that you camouflage so masterfully behind your two-hour makeup rituals, your to-die-for black dress draped over a perfectly sculpted body bathed in imported perfumes and exotic oils.

Oh, everyone admires the packaging.  But when you are alone with your own self, you still come up short.  You still come up lacking.  Nothing has satisfied the craving in your dark soul.  Oh, my sister, life cannot be exonerated from trials and turmoil by things that satisfy the lust of the flesh.  A life free from pain cannot be bought!  Amenities won’t cure the disease in your heart.  Exotic oils can’t soothe away the guilt and the shame that you feel.  And no outfit, no matter the price tag, can lift you out of the loneliness, the rejection, the bitterness and darkness laden in womb of your soul.

What am I saying?

I am saying that what you need has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with your wardrobe or your costly perfumes.  It’s not dazzling jewels on your finger, on your wrist or around your neck!  They can’t calm your insecurities; they can’t eradicate your fears; they can’t mend or soothe away your brokenness.  They can’t touch you in your hurting places.  They can’t heal the infections in your spirit or the scar tissue around your heart.  Are you hearing me?

They can’t touch the root of your hurt or heal the poison gushing through your memory. Oh, they can make you over on the outside all right.  But the only thing that will be on display is “fool’s gold’.

Fool’s Gold?

Oh, yes, Fool’s Gold.  You’re shining but you’re lying!  I said, you’re shining but you’re lying! You are fool’s gold:

Oh, it’s the truth anyway.  The only thing you paid so handsomely for was to be dressed to impress, dressed for success, dressed for the flesh, and dressed for mess.  But it’s only the Word of God that can deal with the root of the matter!  And the root of the matter is your heart.  Your heart!  Your heart!

“The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked:
who can know it?

I, the Lord, search the heart . . .’
- Jeremiah 17:9,10

Let the Lord, Who is the Word, search your heart.   You’ve got stuff in there you would not believe, and stuff you would be too ashamed to speak of.  No, you wouldn’t believe what has taken root in your heart from all the years of abuse and rejection, disappointment and heartache, violation and humiliation; betrayal, envy, unforgiveness, anger and deep-seeded bitterness.  But the Word.  The Word will go deep and wash away all unrighteousness.  The Word will cleanse you from all hidden agenda.  And it will root up and root out pollutants, and all harmful and deadly residue.

The Word will cleanse your heart.  And when your heart is clean, your eyes will be adorned with the light of His love.  When your heart is clean, when your heart is pure, you shall see God.  You shall see God!  Hallelujah!

Woman of God, with a clean heart, you will have your Father’s eyes.  And you will begin to see yourself differently.  You will see that you are not your past.  You are not the shame and guilt that tormented you night and day.  You will see that you are no longer bound by low, or no self-esteem.  You will see that you are valuable.  That you are somebody awesome, somebody your Lord longs for and delights in.  You are His beloved.  You will see with your pure heart that you are an original planned for, longed for.  Yes, you are somebody.  You are a divinely framed Woman of God.  You are a mirror reflection of your Beautiful Father.  Your eyes are His eyes, and you can now see others with His loving eyes of compassion.  And to your amazement, you won’t be so quick to judge, but you will be in a hurry to love.  Let me say that again.

You won’t be so quick to judge, but you will be in a hurry to love.  And you will begin with you.  You will stop judging you and you will start loving you with a pure love.

“Oh, the love of God has been shed abroad
in our hearts by the Holy Ghost’.
- Romans 5:5

You can love as He loves.  His love is in you now.  In I John 4:17 it says, “As He is so are we in this world’. And in Matthew 19:19 it says, “Love your neighbor as yourself’. You see, you must love you first before you can truly love others.  That’s why your heart has to be clean.  For with a clean heart, you can love the way Jesus commanded you to love.  You can love your neighbor as yourself.

Oh, it’s your heart, your heart, your heart!

The Word will clean your heart.  And with a clean heart, you’re not dressed like anything of this world.  The Word will dress you in Kingdom Apparel.  And when you are dressed in Kingdom Apparel, you are dressed to reign in every arena of life.  Hallelujah!  You can reign, my sweet Sister, in every arena.  Because when you are in Kingdom Apparel, you are draped in His Grace, and dripping in His Anointing.  You are armed with the Mind of the Lord Himself.  You have on His Robe of Righteousness, Ring of Authority, Crown of Dominion, and the Seal of the Holy Ghost; you are perfumed with the Sweet Smelling Fragrance of Christ to the Father; and you are His Garment of Praise.  And that’s not all.  You are clothed in the arsenal of Heaven, which is the whole armor of God.  Hallelujah!

You have put on Christ, the Word Himself!  And you are dressed to bless!  Dressed to bless, indeed!  It’s the Word.  Go after the Word, not after the world.  Nobody, like nobody, can dress you like the Word.  If you let the Word dress you in Kingdom Apparel, you won’t be dressed to impress, dressed for success, dressed for the flesh or dressed for mess.  You will be Dressed to Bless!  I have to say that again. You will be Dressed to Bless!

Hallelujah!  The Word will adorn you with His glory, and clothe you in His power!

I adjure you to get in the Word. Stay in the Word.  Believe the Word.  For it will change your life.  It will change your circumstances.

. . . . with everything that you have gone through and are going through, you must make the decision to honor God’s Word.  For when you do, it will revolutionize your thinking and your speaking.  It will empower you to take authority over your thought-life and over your mouth.  Yes, it will empower you to command your tongue to honor the One Who honors you.  Again, I say, Get in the Word, for in the Word you can hear God talking.  And when you hear God talking to you, it will change everything!  The world may be falling apart around you and even in your own life, but when you’re in the Word, suddenly you will hear a now-word from God.  He is the God of suddenlies, and He has a now-word for you!

■  You don’t have to live in pain.
■  You don’t have to live in depression.
■  You don’t have to live in rejection.
■  You don’t have to live in sickness and disease.
■  You don’t have to live in low self-esteem.
■  You don’t have to live in fear.

And you don’t have to give up on you or your dreams, and stop living because of your guilt and your shame. You can soar over all things!

â–  You can soar over all the lies.
â–  You can soar over the betrayal.
â–  You can soar over the jealousy.
â–  You can soar over the anger and hatred.
â–  You can soar over the bitterness.
â–  You can soar over the unforgiveness.
â–  You can soar over all feelings of unworthiness.
â–  You can soar over every affliction.

Yes, you can soar over all your history and right into your divine, ordained destiny!

Glory to God.  You can soar.  You can soar!  You can soar!
