I Am A Disciple

Hello Ambassadors . . .

Sweet, sweet greetings to Phenomenal You in the Amazingly Amazing Name of our Darling Lord & Savior!

I had the privilege and honor to minister at the Cerritos Women’s Aglow on Monday evening, December 8, 2008 in Cerritos, California. What a glorious time and precious visitation from our Darling Papa! Oh, how He loves us so.

Well after the meeting, I briefly spoke with quiet a few of the women who had attended and was truly humbled by the apparent effect God’s Word had had on them. And I was touched deeply by a most wonderful man of God. I remember how the Lord fixed my eyes on him while I was ministering before God’s people. The Lord’s presence and Light shown brilliantly in his countenance. And his wide smile was simply contagious. Truly, the love of God possessed him. We spoke a few moments and embraced. And as we embraced, Wally Bruder, began bathing me in prayer. Truly, I felt the very life of God flow through me. This was my Father’s doing. He had orchestrated our steps and I am abundantly blessed.

Wally handed me a few articles and a couple of tapes. The following is one of the articles. It blessed me tremendously, and I know it will do the same for you. It’s called, I Am A Disciple.

An African Pastor was overwhelmed by rebels who demanded that he renounce his faith. He refused. The night before they took his life, he wrote the following lines on a scrap of paper:

I am part of the “Fellowship of the Unashamed.” I have Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I’ve stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of His. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame vision, mundane talking, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals!

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by presence, lean by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.

My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won’t give up, shut up, let up, or burn up till I’ve preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up and stayed up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops.

And when He comes to get His own, He’ll have no problems recognizing me. My colors will be clear.

The alarm is ringing off the wall
and far too many of us
are drowsily
reaching
for the snooze button

How long, Sleeping Giant
will we continue as we are
exclusive and secluded

How long, Sleeping Giant
will we sleep and do nothing

darkness is increasing
hell is unleashing
the vilest of the vile
and it’s spreading
and heading
for the heart of every child

Body of Christ, it’s time to wake up
and get up
and take our place

Oh, let’s make haste

Our children are in trouble

they’re in a fight for their very lives

their world is chaotic
and psychotic
they’re battling wickedness
in disguise

Yes, our children are in trouble
and far too many of us
we do double
in our minds

And a double-minded man
well, he is unstable
in all his ways
that’s why so many of us
walk around in a daze
in these troubling times

It’s time to grow up and stand tall
and do something
about their pain
their darkness
and their shame

Far, far too many of our children
think they are nothing
and have no value

Much of how they feel
has to do with what we do
and what we
do not do

With eyes wide open
are we refusing to see
the loss of their innocence
and their purity

Children all over
hate the very skin they’re in
yes they loathe themselves
they’ve been violated
by sin

They think no one really cares
and they do not matter
and it’s not getting any better

Not much does it appear to us
they have feelings
that’s serious

And because of all
our skeletons
they lash out
in rebellion

And the church can’t seem
to even understand
hidden in the mix
of pain
and anger
is a . . . Help me man

Lord have mercy
have mercy please

There is an urgency in our hour. An urgency, indeed! And the Clarion Call that has been entrusted into my hands is a Prophetic Psalm for this generation of Believers. It is just as its name implies: a strong, strong call for action. But this call for action is not from man.

It is from Almighty God Himself . . . to His Church.

He is commanding that His Church be the Church and do something about the ever-increasing darkness and evil that is not only being waged against our children, but is being waged through them!

Our children are the greatest resource in any nation! And we must make saving our children our top priority because the enemy of their souls certainly has made it his! he is bent on their total destruction.

It’s almost midnight. Our children’s midnight.
The enemy is holding nothing back.
he is serious about destroying our seed!

And the God of all creation
is serious about their preservation!

How serious are you? Will you arise out of your sleep and slumber? Will you arise out of your exclusivity, out of the four walls of your “church building” and go into the marketplace, and into the highways and byways?

Will you arise out of mediocrity, carelessness, tolerance, apathy and fear? Will you arise, Church of the Living God?

Will you arise in Kingdom power, and glory and unity . . .
and fearlessly answer the Clarion Call?

We are responsible for the next generation
For their preparation, and impartation

Yes, we are responsible!

Arising in power & Answering the call with you!

FAX-A-THON . . .

FOR AN INCREDIBLE MOM ! ! !

Have you ever met someone so special, so beautiful, that after only one brief encounter, you knew instantly that you belonged together and your world would never be the same?

Well, that’s how it was for my dear friend Debra Shiveley Welch when she first looked into the eyes of her baby boy, Christopher. Love instantly filled her heart and spilled over into her eyes. She had never seen anyone as precious and lovely as her “beautiful boy”.

She had prayed for him. Longed for him. Ached for him.
Prepared for him . . . and now, he was here.

She may not have been his birth mom, but he was definitely the son of her soul.

Here are Debra’s own words, “I firmly believe that I have received the same child I was meant to receive, whether I gave birth or adopted. The same soul, the same entity, was meant to be mine, from the beginning of time.”

The power of one small, innocent child changed the very life of a precious woman desperate to be a mom. She needed him and oh how he needed her. The two of them were answers to each other. Divine orchestration had brought them together. And I thank our Heavenly Father for how He works all things out for our good. Yes, I thank Him massively for fulfilling a dream so laden with tenacious desire! The dream of motherhood!

Debra changed Chris’ world. And Chris changed Debra’s. But I would like to change both of their worlds. This kind of love must be made known to the masses. But how? What can I do?

Earlier tonight I had an idea. I would have a Fax-a-thon! ~ I know I could email also, but for now, I choose to have a Fax-a-thon!

So I am putting out a challenge here in the cyber-world to fax a brief note to Regis & Kelly for 30 days – telling them about Debra & Chris and asking that they open wide a door of opportunity by having them as guests to share their incredible story.

I am strongly appealing to all Baby Boomers and especially Boomer Diva Nation.

It’s hard to believe that on July 22, 2008, we, the Boomer Diva Nation, will be celebrating our One-Year Anniversary!

Whoa! So many wonderful things have taken place in this group of International Women who literally come from all walks of life! ~ It’s almost mind-boggling!

But when you have a passionate and dynamic visionary like our Leader and Founder, Beverly Mahone . . . well, nothing should really take us by surprise!
